This is the worst airline experience I have ever had in my life (and I am a frequent flyer for more than 20 years). The staff was extremely unprofessional and rude, they did our check-in while chewing gum loudly and laughing with their collegues. The waitresses and other personnel member was also very discourteous and lacked any basic notion of customer service. And right before barding the plane, I am pulled aside and taxed 65 USD because of my cabin luggage which, according to them, was too big to put under the seat and had to be put in the luggage bin, which was chargeable !!! The Spirit Airlines representative also told me very kindly that I was free to leave my luggage in the airport if I refused to pay. I have never seen an airline company charge you for using the luggage bin in the cabin. Worst, I talked to some people in the plane and learnt that someof them put their luggages in the bin but didnt pay that extra charge !!!! In law, this situation is called `unequal treatment` and it is absolutely illegal. I was chosen by the airlines in an discretionary way (probably because my luggage had wheels ) and had to pay while other people in the same situation as me simply got off wit it. That is who this airlines fills its pockets. It is scandalous that I was not informed about this at the check-in (the agent was too busy laughing with her collegues I guess) and ambushed right before boarding the plane. Back home, I search for Spirit Airlines on the internet and I find out that SPIRIT AIRLINES HAS BEEN VOTED THE WORST AIRLINE IN AMERICA !! I am absolutely not surprised. This company is not going to last long in the business if no changes are made. It is simply doomed to fail. The founding basis of any company is to RESPECT the people they are selling their services to and not treat them like shit.Therefore, I can only warn my fellow-travelers to not fall into the trap and to NEVER NEVER FLY with Spirit Airlines.

Spirit Vol NK376 Départ Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) 23 Oct. 15:32 Arrivée Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) 23 Oct. 16:44 GERARD FRANÇOIS BRUNEL COLETTE MARIE MEYNET BRUNEL JOFFREY BRUNEL ANTONIN BRUNEL Dear, We checked in to check in luggage or a hostess checked us for our cabin luggage which entered the check template but not to the bottom, so she agreed that they would be in the cabin. When boarding all passengers entered the plane without any problem with many of them uncompromised cases for cabins, while we were blocked by a hostess to pay a supplement $ 163 !!! The head of the cabin then tells us that the hostesses who had accepted and who was there is in fact a trainee and does not yet know the procedures! Three other French passengers were also abused. We felt that during the boarding call (Group A, B, C) we were the last (with presumably tickets negotiated by our tour operator at the lowest price) and that the company had instructions to recover a little money on these tickets, a shame !! We go every year to the USA and (for the rest 3 days later on the company Alaska we embarked with the same luggage without worries) we never suffered this kind of abuse. This is the first time that we are victims of what seems to us a disguised flight! Our luggage complies with the standard cabins in effect on all companies. Once on board the other passengers were already all settled and we could see in the open chests of luggage much larger than ours. We will report to our tour operator (Expedia) this disappointment.
